Most of the ingredients you need to make this ham and turkey sandwich are probably already in your refrigerator! Here are the key ingredients:

  • Bread: we used a homemade jalapeno cheddar bread for this sandwich. Make sure you use a GOOD quality thick cut bread if possible.
  • Lunch Meats: turkey, ham, pepperoni, and even bacon are the main proteins.
  • Cheese: grab your favorite sliced cheese. You can use American cheese, cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, muenster cheese, or whatever you have on hand.
  • Vegetables: tomato slices, red onion or yellow onion, banana peppers, shredded lettuce, and pickles are great options for toppings.
  • Condiments: use a great quality mayonnaise and mustard. You can even drizzle some olive oil and vinegar for a little Razzle Dazzle!

Recipe Variations

  • Bread: Use sourdough, Italian, or ciabatta if you don’t have jalapeño cheddar bread. Add sliced jalapeños and shredded cheddar to mimic the flavor!
  • Cheese: Swap Muenster for provolone, white American, or pepper jack for an extra kick.
  • Meats: Try roast beef or salami for a different twist, or make it vegetarian with roasted peppers and avocado slices.
  • Condiments: Ranch, chipotle mayo, or honey mustard add fun flavor variations.
  • Make it Hot: Toast the entire sandwich in a panini press until the cheese is gooey and the bread is crispy.
