Looking for something quick, cheesy, and juicy? These hamburger sliders are perfect for game day and they are ready in just 30 minutes. They are a great way to feed a hungry group without breaking the bank.
Ingredients you need:
Use lean ground beef for the best results. The meat is still juicy and flavorful but it is not as greasy. Season the meat with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Once the beef is browned, add all your condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard) directly to the mixture.
The Hawaiian rolls are sweet, buttery, soft dinner rolls. They cut through the richness of the beef and make these burger sliders even tastier! Use both American cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. They melt well and taste amazing together.
Apply melted butter to the toasted Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders for a buttery finish. It also helps the sesame seeds stick to the buns if you choose to add them.
How to Make Cheeseburger Sliders
Preheat the oven to 350°F then season your ground beef. Cook it in a large skillet with diced onions and once it browns, add in your condiments.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half then layer the bottom half with American cheese slices.
After removing any excess grease from the ground beef, add it to the rolls. Sprinkle more shredded cheese over the meat.
Then place the bun on top and add it to the oven for 8-10 minutes or just until the cheese is melted.
Remove the sliders from the oven and brush the melted butter over the top.
Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and finally, enjoy!
Pro-Tips:
- Have fun adding more hamburger slider toppings like tomatoes, pickle slices, and bacon.
- Prevent soggy buns by adding cheese to the bottom layer of the sliders and also removing excess grease from the ground beef before piling it on the King's Hawaiian rolls.
- You can assemble hamburger sliders 1 day in advance and just add them to the oven before serving.
- Serve with your favorite burger sauce for dipping, like BBQ sauce or In-N-Out sauce.
Storing and Reheating:
Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders reheat really well. Microwave individual sliders by wrapping them in a paper towel and warming them up for no more than 30 seconds. If you are reheating a larger quantity, add them to a preheated oven or air fryer at 350°F for about 2-3 minutes or until warmed through.
FAQ:
Are sliders just small burgers?
Although they have similar structures and flavors, sliders and burgers are not exactly the same. Aside from the size difference, burgers are made with beef patties whereas sliders have a thin layer of beef.
What goes with sliders at a party?
Sliders are perfect for watch parties because they are a light bite (if you do not eat the whole batch!). Serve them alongside potato chips, peanuts, dips, popcorn, and other appetizers.
How long does it take to cook sliders in the oven?
Since the beef cooks on the stovetop, sliders take no more than 10 minutes to cook in the oven. You can take them out as soon as the cheese melts or the slider rolls are golden brown on top.

Cheeseburger Sliders
Cheeseburger sliders are savory, shareable mini burgers made with seasoned ground beef and melty cheese between toasted Hawaiian rolls. Serve them as a delicious appetizer at holiday gatherings and Super Bowl parties.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground beef
- ½ Onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tablespoon Seasoned salt (more or less to taste)
- 2 teaspoons Garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Mustard
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 4 slices American cheese
- 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
- Sesame seeds (optional to garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. To prepare the cheeseburger mixture, preheat a skillet on the stove over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and onions to the skillet and use a spatula to break the beef up. Cook it for about 7-10 minutes, or until there is no more pink in the beef.
- Add all of your seasonings into the meat mixture including the: Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Stir all of the seasonings into the beef until it is fully combined. Now add in the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard and stir it until it is fully mixed in.
- Remove the skillet from the heat, and drain any excess grease.
- Use a serrated knife to cut the Hawaiian rolls in half so that you have a top and bottom bun.
- Place the bottom half of the buns on a baking sheet. Begin layering the sliders by adding the sliced american cheese, and half of the shredded cheese on the bottom half of the rolls.
- Now add the ground beef mixture directly over the cheese, spread it out into one even layer.
- Next, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese directly over the top of the meat mixture, make sure you sprinkle it on evenly, and cover every surface.
- Now carefully add the top bun directly on top of the cheeseburger sliders.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, just until the cheese is melted.
- Remove the sliders from the oven and brush the melted butter over the top. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and enjoy!

These were so good! We used ground turkey instead of beef. I’ll definitely be making these again because the kids loved them!
