What is green mojo sauce?
Traditional Cuban mojo sauce is made with simple ingredients such as garlic, cilantro, and a citrus of some sort.
Usually a bitter orange juice, or like this recipe calls for, lime juice. All of these amazing flavors are blended together until a smooth sauce is formed.
Ingredients needed for sauce:
Gather your fresh herbs and spices:
- Garlic
- Parsley
- Cilantro
- Lime
- White wine vinegar- use plain white vinegar if needed
- Olive oil
- Salt
How to make the mojo sauce:
It does not get much easier than this recipe! Simply gather your ingredients, and throw them all in a blender.
No need to bust out the chopping board or knives. Once you add everything to the blender, just turn it on high and blend until it is smooth.
What to eat with the sauce:
One of my favorite things about this mojo sauce is its versatility. The sauce has a delicious and fresh garlicky flavor that pairs great with almost anything. It is an amazing dipping sauce for this fried yuca.
Use it as a marinade for chicken, fish, or steak. You can use the sauce on tacos, or mashed potatoes too. It is addictingly delicious!
