Make McDonald's Sausage McGriddle at home with this easy copycat recipe. The bite-size breakfast sandwiches include savory sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and melted American cheese between two mini pancakes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Add your eggs to a bowl, sprinkle the black pepper into the bowl and whisk the eggs until they are fully scrambled.
Spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray, and pour about 2-3 tablespoons of the egg mixture into each muffin.
Place the pan in the oven and bake the eggs for about 7 minutes, just until they are almost cooked through. Remove from the oven and set aside.
While the eggs are baking, cook your sausage patties in a skillet over medium-high heat until they are cooked through and brown on both sides. Remove them from the heat and set aside.
Cut your American cheese slices in half so that you end up with 6 pieces of cheese.
To Assemble the McGriddles:
Take the eggs out of the muffin tin so that you can build the McGriddle. Add one mini pancake to the bottom of each tin, drizzle or brush some of the maple syrup on top of each pancake.
Now place a sausage patty on top of the pancakes, then add the scrambled egg, followed by a slice of the cheese.
Add the other mini pancake on the top, and brush it with maple syrup. Place the McGriddles in the oven and allow them to bake so that the cheese can melt. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Serve right away, and Enjoy!
