Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings (air fryer method)
Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Wings are addictingly delicious. A combination of sweet and tangy, with a hint of spice. Made quick, easy, and a tad bit healthier using the air fryer. No air fryer? No problem! There are tips for alternative cooking methods as well!
Pat the chicken wings with paper towels to remove any moisture from them. Then place them in a large bowl.
Add the olive oil, lemon pepper, cajun seasoning, seasoned salt, black pepper, and garlic powder directly over the chicken. Mix it well to combine the oil and seasonings into the chicken.
Spray the air fryer tray with non-stick cooking spray. Place the chicken directly onto the tray in one single layer. Do not overlap the chicken. It may have to be cooked in batches.
Close the tray and place it on "air fry" mode at 375° for ten minutes. After the ten minutes, open it up and flip it over. Cook an additional 15 minutes.
Remove the wings from the air fryer and toss them in the sauce.
Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Sauce
Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add the butter in the skillet to melt. Once the butter is melted, pour in the hot sauce, honey, lemon juice, and seasonings.
Mix the sauce well until it is fully combined. Simmer for two minutes- continue to stir as the sauce will begin to thicken up.
Transfer to a bowl, or toss the wings right in the sauce in the skillet.
