Apple Glazed Pull-Apart Bread is super simple to make, and a delicious dessert or breakfast. Biscuits, granny smith apples, and spices drizzled in a heavenly glaze.
2large Granny smith applespeeled, cored, and diced
1cupBrown sugar
1tablespoonCinnamon
1/2teaspoonNutmeg
1teaspoonLemon juice
1/2teaspoonSalt
Glaze
1 1/2cupsPowdered sugar
1tablespoonHalf and halfor milk
1teaspoonVanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the butter in a medium size saucepan. Add the butter, apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, salt. Sauté over medium heat until apples become soft- about 7-10 minutes.
Cut the biscuits into quarters, down the middle, and down the middle one more time.
Grease a loaf or Bundt pan. Add some of the apples to the bottom of the pan, about half a cup.
Add a layer of the biscuits directly on top of the apple mixture. One even layer, and the biscuits do not have to touch- as they will rise and fill in the space.
Add more apple mixture over the top of the biscuits, then layer the rest of the biscuit dough. Next, pour the remaining apple mixture on top.
Place the pan in the oven uncovered, and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top of the biscuits are golden brown.
While bread is baking, make the glaze. Mix powdered sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
Remove bread from oven and let it cool for at least five minutes. Flip it out onto a plate or board, and drizzle with glaze immediately.
Notes
Baking times may vary depending on oven settings. Keep an eye on the bread to ensure it is not burning, and the middle is cooked through.
