Pico de Gallo Recipe

Pico de Gallo is a vibrant blend of seasoned fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro, with a citrusy burst of lime. Add this quick and easy appetizer to your favorite Mexican food as a delicious dip or topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium Roma tomatoes diced
  • ½ medium Red onion diced
  • ¼ cup Cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 whole Jalapeño diced (deveined and seeds removed)
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt more or less to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • Use a sharp knife to finely dice the tomato, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  • Add the finely diced vegetables into a medium size bowl. 
  • Squeeze the lime juice over the diced vegetables. Next, sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Use a spoon to gently combine all of the ingredients. Taste the Pico de gallo and add salt as needed.
  • Enjoy immediately or Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
