Ingredients

  • 1 filet Salmon
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise

Seasoning (to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix seasonings in a small bowl.
  • Cut salmon into desired portion sizes
  • Spread mayo over entire fish filet- not on the the skin side.
  • Sprinkle seasoning on fish. If the fish fillet has skin on it, place the fish in a piping hot cast-iron skillet with the skin side up (so mayo side is in direct contact with the skillet).
  • Cook for 5 minutes, flip and cook for additional 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the fish to the oven, skin side up. Cook for an additional 5 minutes (see note).

Notes

If some pieces of of the salmon are a bit thinner than others, remove the thin pieces from the skillet and set aside instead of adding them to the oven; to avoid overcooked fish.
